CVE-2022-41154Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file deletion via unsanitized path concatenation

Published Jan 26, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Path traversal in Siretta QUARTZ-GOLD G5.0.1.5-210720-141020 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary files via UDP packets. DELETE_FILE appends attacker-controlled M2M_data_entry.data to a base directory without validating traversal sequences before executing rm. The M2M feature must be enabled, but DELETE_FILE requires no authentication; deletion can interrupt router operation.
