Local privilege escalation through undisclosed mechanism
Published Nov 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Elevation of privilege in Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 and 2019 allows local users with low privileges to gain elevated access. Microsoft has not published the affected component or the incorrect operation that enables the privilege boundary to be crossed. Exploitation requires an existing low-privileged local account, and successful use grants access beyond that account's authorization.
