CVE-2022-41114

Local privilege escalation via driver race condition

Published Nov 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

A race condition in the Microsoft Windows Bind Filter Driver allows local users on affected Windows builds to elevate privileges. Microsoft has not disclosed the shared resource, synchronization error, or driver operation that creates the race. Successful exploitation requires prior low-privileged code execution and a high-complexity race, and grants elevated control over the affected host.
