CVE-2022-41092

Limited SYSTEM code execution via integer overflow

Published Nov 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Integer overflow in Microsoft Windows Win32k allows local users to execute code with limited SYSTEM privileges via local code execution. The Output Protection Manager fails to validate user-supplied data, allowing an integer overflow before allocating a buffer. Exploitation requires prior low-privileged code execution on the host and grants code execution in the SYSTEM context.
