Authenticated command execution via unchecked sprintf
Published Jan 26, 2023 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Siretta QUARTZ-GOLD G5.0.1.5-210720-141020 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. DetranCLI passes unchecked schedule-command fields to sprintf, which writes them into a fixed 0x100-byte stack buffer. Reaching the flaw requires high privileges on the network-accessible customized CLI, and successful exploitation grants command execution on the router.
