Authenticated code execution via unchecked sprintf
Published Jan 26, 2023 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
DetranCLI stack overflow in Siretta QUARTZ-GOLD G5.0.1.5-210720-141020 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via crafted commands. The firmwall srcmac handler passes unchecked command arguments to sprintf, which writes them into the fixed 256-byte buff_0x100 stack buffer. Access to the router's authenticated CLI is required; a crafted sequence can corrupt the stack and execute arbitrary commands with the service's privileges.
