Incorrect default permissions in Intel HDMI Firmware Update Tool for NUC before 1.79.1.1 allow local users to escalate privileges. Intel has not published which installed file, directory, or other object receives permissive defaults or how those permissions are abused. Successful exploitation grants elevated privileges to an authenticated local user who completes the required interaction under high-complexity conditions.
