Arbitrary code execution via undisclosed memory corruption
Published Dec 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Memory corruption in Mozilla Firefox 104, Firefox ESR 102.2, and Thunderbird 102.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. Mozilla grouped six memory-safety bugs under this identifier but has not published their affected functions or precise invalid memory operations. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled content; normal Thunderbird email reading disables scripting, limiting exposure to browser-like contexts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
