Device-permission disclosure via uninitialized iframe policy
Published Dec 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Feature-policy bypass in Mozilla Firefox before 105, Firefox ESR before 102.3, and Thunderbird before 102.3 leaks device permissions. During iframe navigation, transient pages use FeaturePolicy before initialization completes, passing permissions into untrusted subdocuments. Remote attackers must induce navigation through attacker-controlled web content; Thunderbird mail reading disables scripting, limiting exposure to browser-like contexts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
