Use-after-free in the RTL8712 wireless driver in Linux Kernel before 6.0-rc4 allows local users to crash the system or elevate privileges. The MAC-register handlers free a command object despite null callbacks, while cmd_hdl_filter returns that object for continued use and later release. Triggering requires local low-privileged access and initialization of an RTL8712 adapter; exploitation can crash the host or obtain kernel-level privileges.
