Unauthenticated memory corruption via parental-control time overflow
Published Sep 28, 2022 · Updated May 21, 2025
Stack overflow in compare_parentcontrol_time in Tenda TX3 firmware 16.03.13.11 allows remote attackers to corrupt process memory. The function processes attacker-controlled parental-control time data with an out-of-bounds stack write, but the public report does not identify the exact copied field or unsafe primitive. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exploitation can corrupt router process state or interrupt the affected service.
