Authenticated command execution through background-task script editor
Published Sep 28, 2022 · Updated May 21, 2025
Command execution in XXL-JOB 2.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run Bash scripts through background tasks. The Web console's IDE task editor accepts operator-supplied Bash and sends it to an executor, which runs the script without further neutralization. Task-creation access is required, and the record is disputed because arbitrary script execution is an intended, supported feature rather than a security-boundary bypass.
