Database metadata disclosure via injectable designation ID
Published Sep 26, 2022 · Updated May 21, 2025
SQL injection in Online Leave Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database metadata through a crafted designation ID. The delete_designation action accepts a POST id value that the database interprets as SQL, including an updatexml subquery that exposes query results. A Super Admin session is required; the published proof of concept extracts the active database name through an error response.
