Published Nov 17, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
OS command injection in Contec SolarView Compact before 7.21 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through its web interface. The network_test.php connectivity-test handler passes the host form value into a ping command without neutralizing line breaks or shell syntax. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants control over appliance data and command execution.
