Reflected XSS via unfiltered preview error message
Published Sep 29, 2022 · Updated May 20, 2025
Reflected XSS in kkFileView 4.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser through a crafted preview URL. OnlinePreviewController passes the user-controlled errorMsg value to the front-end error prompt without filtering or output encoding. Exploitation requires a victim to open a Base64- and URL-encoded preview link, after which the injected script runs in the site's browser context.
