Stored XSS via unsanitized connected-device hostname
Published Nov 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Stored XSS in Tenda W15Ev2 firmware 15.11.0.10(1576) allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via a saved hostname. The homepage inserts an unchecked connected-device hostname into a title string; a crafted quote closes that context and leaves an event handler executable. Administrative access is required to rename the host, and a later homepage view executes the script during periodic QOS refreshes and exposes session cookies.
