CVE-2022-40798Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via exposed password-reset link

Published Oct 19, 2022 · Updated May 8, 2025

Incorrect access control in OcoMon 4.0RC1 allows remote attackers to take over accounts through the password-recovery endpoint. The require_access_recovery_process.php handler discloses a registered email for a valid username, then returns a password-reset link when that email is resubmitted. No authentication is required; knowledge of a valid username is enough to reset the associated password and assume control of that account.
