Command injection in Snyk CLI before 1.996.0 allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands by scanning untrusted Go project files. The snyk-go-plugin passes arguments derived from vendor/vendor.json to a child process with shell execution enabled, allowing shell metacharacters to become commands. Execution requires snyk test or an IDE or CI integration to scan a crafted project, and injected commands run with the scanner process's privileges.
