Database access via removable security files
Published Sep 30, 2022 · Updated May 20, 2025
Incorrect folder permissions in Actian Zen PSQL before 14.21.022, 15.01.017, or 15.11.005 allow remote authenticated users to reset the master password. The affected folder permissions allow deletion of security files that retain the master-password state. File read/write access is required; deleting those files resets the master password and grants database access.
