Arbitrary PHP execution via unrestricted URL pathname
Published Oct 31, 2022 · Updated May 5, 2025
Path traversal in Softnext Mail SQR Expert 2dut.190301 allows remote attackers to read and modify partial system information via a URL parameter. A parameter at an undisclosed product URL accepts a path to a PHP file bearing an .asp extension and references files under specific system directories without confining the pathname to an intended directory. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation executes the selected PHP file but does not interrupt the service.
