Information disclosure via Hooking Monitor buffer over-read
Published Sep 28, 2022 · Updated Nov 20, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Trend Micro Deep Security 20 for Windows allows local users to disclose sensitive information from agent memory. The User Mode Hooking Monitor Engine fails to validate user-supplied data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer. Low-privileged code execution is required; the read exposes memory and can support a separate exploit chain to SYSTEM code execution.
