Local information disclosure via unchecked UMH data
Published Sep 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Trend Micro Deep Security Agent 20 for Windows allows local users to disclose sensitive process memory. The User Mode Hooking Monitor Engine fails to validate user-supplied data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires low-privileged code execution on the host; the disclosed data can support a separate privilege-escalation chain to SYSTEM.
