Browser script execution via unescaped test-profile XML
Published Jan 17, 2023 · Updated Apr 4, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Phoronix Test Suite's Phoromatic allows remote attackers to execute browser script through a crafted test-profile request. The add-test-details page passes the tp query value into a test-profile parser and prints attacker-controlled SupportedPlatforms XML without HTML escaping. A victim must open the crafted request in a browser; script runs in the Phoromatic origin and can read or alter data available to that session.
