Credential disclosure via cleartext web login
Published Feb 7, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cleartext transmission in Moxa SDS-3008 Series 2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read administrator credentials via HTTP traffic. The web application's default configuration sends login account names and passwords in an unencrypted request and leaves HTTP enabled. An attacker able to sniff the management network can recover those credentials; no authentication or user interaction is required.
