Plugin deactivation via forged administrator request
Published Nov 18, 2022 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Constant Contact Creative Mail 1.5.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to deactivate WordPress plugins. A plugin-deactivation request accepts the administrator's authenticated session without verifying a request nonce, permitting arbitrary plugin names to be deactivated. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to visit a crafted link, and the resulting impact is interruption of functionality supplied by the chosen plugin.
