Administrator-session JavaScript execution via unsanitized username
Published Nov 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 25, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in LibreNMS before 22.10.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser. UserController::update fills the User model from all request fields rather than only validated fields, allowing a low-privilege account to store a crafted username. Execution requires an administrator to view the user overview; a still-valid session also lets a disabled user re-enable the account.
