CVE-2022-40677Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via crafted input parameters

Published Feb 16, 2023 · Updated Oct 23, 2024

Argument injection in Fortinet FortiNAC allows remote authenticated users to execute unauthorized commands via crafted input parameters. In affected releases from 8.3.7 through 9.4.0, the parameters are processed without neutralizing command argument delimiters; Fortinet has not disclosed the affected component or function. High-privilege access is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the vulnerable appliance process's privileges.
