Settings modification via missing CSRF validation
Published Sep 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Rate my Post – WP Rating System 3.3.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter plugin settings. The settings-update path processes a state-changing request without performing a CSRF check to confirm the administrator intended it. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to visit attacker-controlled content, and the documented consequence is limited to unwanted settings changes.
