Authenticated command execution via Groovy sandbox escape
Published Sep 13, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
OS command injection in Crafter Studio in CrafterCMS 3.1 before 3.1.23 allows remote authenticated users to execute host commands. Groovy code processed by Studio escapes its server-side sandbox, but Crafter Software has not published the bypassed restriction or unsafe operation. The vendor assessment requires a developer role and user interaction; exploitation runs commands with the Studio service's host privileges.
