Authenticated OS command execution via FreeMarker SSTI
Published Sep 13, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Improper code-resource control in Crafter Studio before 3.1.23 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands via FreeMarker SSTI. The vendor identifies server-side FreeMarker template evaluation as the locus but has not published the affected function or unsafe evaluation path. A Crafter Studio account with the Developer role and user interaction are required; successful exploitation runs commands with the server process's privileges.
