CVE-2022-40630Network attack vector

Unauthenticated session fixation via crafted HTTP request

Published Sep 23, 2022 · Updated May 22, 2025

Session fixation in Tacitine Firewall 19.1.1 through 22.20.1 allows remote attackers to hijack web management sessions. The web-based management interface accepts a specially crafted HTTP request without properly managing its session identifier, but the affected endpoint and exact state transition are undisclosed. No authentication or user interaction is required to submit the request; the reported consequence is session fixation, not code execution or service interruption.
