Privileged account creation via reflected backurl script
Published Sep 14, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Reflected XSS in Zabbix Frontend 6.0.0 through 6.0.6 and 6.2.0 allows remote attackers to create privileged accounts via a crafted link. The action configuration page inserts the backurl parameter into its HTML response without neutralizing executable JavaScript. Exploitation requires a privileged authenticated user, such as a Super Admin, to follow the link; the injected script can create an account with an attacker-chosen login, password, and role.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
