Account takeover via replayable HTTP password hashes
Published Sep 13, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Authentication bypass in Wavlink Quantum D4G firmware M31G3.V5030.200325 and earlier allows remote attackers to assume a user's identity. The management interface sends a reusable password hash over HTTP and derives it without a server-supplied key, allowing capture and replay. Network access and a logged-on victim are required; successful replay grants the victim's management privileges.
