CVE-2022-40616Network attack vector

Unauthenticated data access via unenforced object authorization

Published Sep 21, 2022 · Updated May 28, 2025

Authentication bypass in IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.1 through 7.6.1.3 allows remote attackers to read or modify asset data. When mxe.int.enableosauth is not set to 1, integration framework object structures do not require explicitly defined authorization. Network access to an exposed integration endpoint is sufficient; accessible structures determine whether the result is data disclosure or unauthorized task execution.
