Unauthorized host filesystem access
Published Dec 19, 2022 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Path traversal in IBM Spectrum Scale CSI 2.6.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read files outside the provisioned volume. IBM has not published the affected function or the precise path operation that fails to confine a requested volume path. Exploitation requires permissions to create a pod, persistent volume, and persistent volume claim, and disclosure can extend to host-filesystem data.
