Cross-site scripting via crafted operation name
Published Oct 17, 2022 · Updated May 14, 2025
Cross-site scripting in MITRE CALDERA before 4.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via a crafted operation name. The Operations tab and Debrief plugin render operation names as active web content instead of safely neutralizing HTML. Exploitation requires a victim to view the affected operation; successful script execution can read or alter data available to that browser session.
