Information disclosure via formatted task-log path
Published Sep 21, 2022 · Updated May 27, 2025
Format-string injection in Apache Airflow 2.3.0 through 2.3.4 allows remote attackers to extract information through a crafted log URL. The task-log reader appends a log-relative path to a URL template and then formats the entire result, interpreting braces in the path as field expressions against the task instance. Triggering the flaw requires the crafted path to reach the webserver's worker-log retrieval flow; the published impact is disclosure only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
