Unauthenticated SQL injection via unescaped AJAX parameter
Published Jan 2, 2023 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
SQL injection in Blocksera Cryptocurrency Widgets Pack before 2.0 allows remote attackers to manipulate database queries through a public AJAX action. The mcwp_table action inserts the attacker-controlled columns[0][name] value into an SQL statement without sanitization, escaping, or preparation. No authentication is required; the published time-delay proof of concept confirms query control, but public evidence does not demonstrate direct record extraction.
