Reachable assertion in Qualcomm chipset modem firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt cellular service via malformed SIB data. The modem's SIB-processing path accepts incorrect network-supplied values and reaches an assertion, terminating modem operation. No authentication or interaction is required; the documented consequence is a transient interruption rather than data access or modification.
