CVE-2022-40534

Memory corruption via improperly validated array index

Published Sep 5, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025

Improper array-index validation in Qualcomm Snapdragon Audio allows local users to corrupt memory through an invalid array index. The Audio component uses an array index without validating that it identifies a valid array element, causing an out-of-bounds memory operation. Local access is required; Qualcomm reports memory corruption, while the available advisory does not identify the input path or establish code execution.
