Transient WLAN interruption via management-frame over-read
Published Feb 9, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Buffer over-read in Qualcomm WLAN firmware allows remote attackers to cause a transient service interruption via a probe response or beacon. The closed-source frame parser reads beyond the supplied buffer while processing probe-response or beacon data. No privileges or user interaction are required, and the reported impact is limited to transient availability loss.
