Stored script execution via unsanitized intern fields
Published Feb 18, 2023 · Updated Mar 17, 2025
Stored XSS in Intern Record System 1.0 allows remote attackers to run scripts in a user's browser through saved intern records. /intern/controller.php stores the name and email parameters without sufficient sanitization, and /intern/view.php renders the saved values as executable markup. Submission requires no authentication, but script execution requires a user to load the affected records page; demonstrated impact includes access to page-origin data such as cookies.
