Quiz submission manipulation via unchecked question identifiers
Published Nov 29, 2022 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Improper input validation in ExpressTech Systems Quiz and Survey Master 8.0.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter quiz submissions. The quiz submission path accepts question[id] values without enforcing the intended numeric identifier, file path, or other question-type constraint. Unauthenticated access to a published quiz is sufficient, and the documented consequence is limited to integrity changes in submitted content.
