Stored iframe injection via unescaped question identifier
Published Nov 29, 2022 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
iFrame injection in Quiz and Survey Master 8.0.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to plant active content through quiz responses. Paragraph and Short Answer handling accepts iframe markup in question[id] and later renders the stored value without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. No authentication is required to submit the payload, but a user must open the affected page before the embedded frame loads, enabling content injection in that user's browser.
