Script execution via encoded JavaScript URI
Published Sep 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in OpenKM Community Edition 6.3.11 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in a victim's browser through notes. FormatUtil.sanitizeInput omitted HTML-entity-encoded javascript URLs from its regular-expression filters, preserving a script-bearing A element. A low-privileged user can store the payload, but another user must click the rendered link before it can capture input, redirect navigation, or submit data in that user's session.
