CVE-2022-40294Network attack vector

Formula execution via unneutralized CSV export fields

Published Oct 31, 2022 · Updated May 6, 2025

CSV injection in PHP Point Of Sale 19.0 allows remote authenticated users to embed formulas in exported data for execution by a CSV viewer. The data export function writes attacker-controlled field values into CSV cells without neutralizing leading formula characters. An authenticated user must supply the exported data, and execution occurs only when another user opens the resulting file in a formula-capable viewer.
