Account hijacking via session fixation
Published Oct 31, 2022 · Updated May 6, 2025
Session fixation in PHP Point Of Sale 19.0 allows remote attackers to hijack accounts through a victim's authenticated session. The Missing Link does not identify the affected authentication locus or explain how the application retains an attacker-known session identifier after login. Exploitation requires a victim to authenticate with that identifier; the advisory says the flaw primarily worsens request-forgery attacks and describes account hijacking as very rare.
