CVE-2022-40291Network attack vector

Account deletion or takeover via forged requests

Published Oct 31, 2022 · Updated May 6, 2025

Cross-site request forgery in PHP Point of Sale 19.0 allows remote attackers to delete or hijack user accounts through crafted requests. The published advisory does not identify a specific endpoint, but establishes that the application accepts attacker-induced state-changing requests under a victim's active session without sufficient request-origin validation. A logged-in user must be induced to submit the request; account takeover can enable creation of additional administrator accounts.
