Account compromise via stored script in uploaded files
Published Oct 31, 2022 · Updated May 6, 2025
Stored XSS in PHP Point Of Sale 19.0 allows remote authenticated users to compromise accounts through uploaded files. The upload and download workflow fails to neutralize attacker-controlled script content embedded in files before serving those files to other accounts. An authenticated attacker must upload a targeted file and induce another account to observe it; script execution in that account's browser permits privilege escalation or account compromise.
