Account compromise via stored profile-field script injection
Published Oct 31, 2022 · Updated May 6, 2025
Stored XSS in PHP Point of Sale 19.0 allows remote authenticated users to compromise accounts that view a crafted user profile. The application stores attacker-controlled profile-field content and later renders it for profile viewers without sufficient neutralization. A low-privileged account and a separate profile view are required; script execution occurs in the viewer session and can escalate privileges.
